FAQ

What does Imaginology actually do? We sprint with leaders and their teams to find the heart and soul of a brand, build the world around it, and get ideas approved, made, and loved. We are not an agency that executes for you. We work with you so the buy-in and the decisions happen fast and stick.

Who do you work with? Leaders accountable for brand, product, experience, or innovation decisions — in entertainment, IP, consumer brands, and high-stakes creative organizations. If the idea dying would cost the business real money, we're the right call.

What does "world-building for brands" mean? It's the rules, story, and decision system that makes every idea feel connected and every extension feel obvious. When your brand has a world, teams make better decisions faster and partners know exactly how to play in it.

How is this different from hiring an agency or consultant? Agencies execute. Consultants advise. We sprint with your team so the direction, the buy-in, and the momentum happen together in days — not months. You walk away with something your team can defend and build from, not a deck that collects dust.

What kinds of problems do you solve? Broken briefs. Fuzzy strategy. Too many opinions killing good ideas. A brand or world that means everything internally but nothing externally. High-stakes concepts that need to get approved by leaders who haven't bought in yet.

What do you mean by a locked brief? A brief everyone in the room has actually agreed on — the real problem, the real success criteria, and the real constraints. Most briefs aren't locked. That's why most ideas die before they ship.

How do you get ideas approved, not just imagined? We define the cost of delay, build the success criteria, and create the proof leaders need to say yes — before anything gets pitched. Decision-makers are bought into the insight before they ever see a concept.

Do you work with our team or do it for us? With your team. Always. That's what makes the buy-in real and the momentum last after we leave.

Who needs to be in the planning room? The decision-maker, the day-to-day owner, and 2 to 6 key voices from creative, brand, product, or experience. Without the real decision-maker present, great ideas go nowhere. We'll tell you that upfront.

What if we already have a strategy or a deck? Good. Bring it. We'll pressure-test it, find what's actually broken, and turn it into something your team can use to make decisions and protect the work as it gets built.

What if we don't have IP — just a brand? Still works. Brands have worlds too. We help you define it so every extension, campaign, and partnership feels intentional instead of random.

What does success look like? The idea gets approved. The team knows how to build it. The momentum doesn't die after the sprint. Nike saved $24M. Sony saw a 164% return. Samsung moved 40% faster. That's what done looks like.

When should you NOT hire Imaginology? If you want someone to validate a decision already made, execute a predetermined plan, or hand you a deck without getting in the room — we are the wrong fit. We challenge the brief, push back on weak strategy, and won't protect a bad idea because it came from the top.

What does failure look like? The real decision-maker wasn't in the room. The brief was never truly agreed on. The org wasn't ready to act on what they learned. We will tell you upfront if we see those conditions. We would rather lose the engagement than waste your time.

How do we start? Book a 15-minute call. Bring a stuck project or just a starting point. We will diagnose what is blocking it and tell you exactly where to begin.
